Cornell University - ILR Metro District Office

Cornell's ILR Metro District Office is the largest extension location of Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations. The School's mission is to provide educational programs to professionals in labor and management throughout New York state. It also provides technical assistance or training to further the educational goals of labor, management or joint labor management initiatives. The Workplace Issues program has sponsored the New York Labor Union Coalition Against Domestic Violence since 1996. It also partners with joint labor/management initiatives and employers to bring domestic violence awareness training to the workplace. As a founding member of the Small Business Initiative of the Safe@Work Coalition, its staff is also available to coordinate resources for and consult with small business owners to address workplace issues relating to domestic violence.
